Offering data-driven results for small businesses

Welcome to our “Faces of the BIA” series! We are excited to introduce you to the businesses and people behind our Building Industry Association. It’s all about fostering connections, celebrating our members and helping you get to know the incredible companies that make up our BIA family!

OpGo Marketing, founded in 2015 in Fargo, has become a reliable business partner for small businesses looking for measurable marketing solutions. Led by Chief Executive Officer Tiffanie Honeyman, OpGo is known for its straightforward approach to growing businesses without high costs or confusion.

Tiffanie has not always worked in marketing. She joined the Navy at age 18 as a construction electrician with the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5, which was one of the first of eight to allow females.

She says, “I was stationed in Port Hueneme, California, and deployed to Okinawa in June of 1994. While there, I did a lot of construction work including drywall, bending rebar, packing concrete, worked on the waterline and rewired some old buildings. After that, I obtained my real estate license and was an agent until we moved to Portland, Oregon. It was there I worked in an accounting role for a law firm.”

Tiffanie found her passion for marketing when she moved back to Fargo in 2005. After working for three different agencies, she was ready to launch OpGo Marketing ten years later, focusing on data-driven strategies rather than flashy, ineffective campaigns.

In the world of AI, cybersecurity and brand authenticity, OpGo’s commitment to educating their clients sets them apart. The agency ensures that small business owners understand every aspect of their marketing efforts. OpGo believes in educating clients so they can make informed decisions for themselves. Their commitment to transparency goes hand in hand with the unique approach to flexible, no-contract partnerships.

OpGo Marketing joined the Building Industry Association in March of 2024 to connect with more businesses that are in the construction industry. Tiffanie feels that this industry fits the “no fluff” style of the agency and her personality. Today, the biggest challenges for the industry are AI and cybersecurity.

“AI can save businesses a ton of time, but they need to be careful of coming off as ‘fake’ or using ‘unethical’ practices,” she says.

OpGo challenges these issues by paying for higher security for websites they host as well as “tag teaming” with clients behind the scenes to help them bring authenticity to their brands through video and photos.

Looking forward, OpGo plans to create hubs outside of larger cities to connect face-to-face with clients. With its focus on data-driven, honest and flexible marketing strategies, OpGo Marketing strives to be a valuable partner for small businesses.

Tiffanie offers this marketing advice for new business owners,

“Create great branding in the beginning and have a small, but professionally done website. I’d hold off on bigger investments until your operations are running smoothly and you have client testimonials. Your marketing dollars will go so much further when internal operations and word-of-mouth are already working for you.”
