A vision for growth: Priorities for 2025​​

As we embark on a new year, I’m excited to share the Building Industry Association of the Red River Valley’s priorities for 2025. These focus areas are designed to support your businesses, showcase the value of membership, and position our association for long-term success.

Growing Members’ Businesses

Our commitment to your growth remains unwavering. This year, we will:

• Strengthen advocacy efforts during legislative sessions in North Dakota and Minnesota, collaborating with leadership and lobbyists.
• Re-establish the Codes Subcommittee to address regulatory updates.
• Actively participate in the Housing Study Steering Committee and Housing Commission.
• Build political engagement and rebuild our internal government affairs leadership to enhance member education and fundraising.
• Foster workforce development by expanding apprenticeship opportunities and student chapters in partnership with the Home Builders Care Foundation.

Sharing the Value of BIA Membership

Our success depends on strengthening membership and communicating our value. Key goals include:

• Achieving 1% membership growth by retaining 91% of current members and recruiting 75 new ones.
• Engaging first- through third-year members and reactivating builder membership to exceed 175 Builder members.
• Promoting our rebranded association and connecting members with tools tailored to their business journey.

Sustainability for the Future

We’re building a foundation for enduring success through:

• Conducting a strategic plan in spring 2025 and advancing initiatives from the 2024 Business Diagnostic.
• Enhancing large-scale consumer events and exploring new opportunities to market our industry.
• Building on efforts to explore and implement non-dues revenue sources for future income streams.
• Collaborating with the Home Builders Care Foundation to refine its role and growth strategy.

2025 will be a year of action and growth, and we look forward to working with our members to achieve these goals. Together, we’ll continue building a stronger future for our industry and community.
