Associate members are any member who supports the building industry but may not be the ones pulling permits to build the homes. All September we are featuring associate members who are making an impact on event programming and in the community!

Our first feature is Tracy Nicholson, Editor at Midwest Nest Magazine.

 

She has been an active member of the Home Builders Association for the past three years. Serving on the Membership Committee, the Home & Garden Show Committee and helping behind the scenes with events! We asked Tracy to share some fun facts about herself:

Have you always lived in the Fargo – Moorhead area?

“I grew up on a farm with my two brothers in Fairmount, N.D. It is where the sun shines first in North Dakota! I graduated from Minnesota State University – Moorhead with a degree in Mass Communications and emphasis in Public Relations (and am just a few credits short of having an Art minor!)”

How long have you been in the magazine business?

“I have been a magazine editor for nearly six years and cannot wait to celebrate two years with Midwest Nest this month!”

Tell us something unique about you!

“I live on Sheyenne River, perched up in the trees. We have a very non-traditional shop/house that my landscaper husband, Mike, drew up and Benjamin Custom Homes built.”

What do you and your family do in your spare time?

“We love spending time we our very busy kids Elle (10) and Quin (5). As a family we enjoy spending time at both our family’s lake homes on Otter Tail and Crystal Lake and take advantage of Detroit Mountain in the winter to ski.”
